Harry V. Stoak, Jr., age 78, of Manchester, died at 12:00 PM Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Pappus House in Thomasville. He was the husband of Wendy J. (Heindel) Stoak.
Born October 29, 1946, in Harrisburg, he was a son of the late Harry V. and Bernice (Brubaker) Stoak. He first served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Basic Missileman Badge and the Marksman Badge. He then worked as an over the road truck driver, achieving over five million miles of driving. He was retired from the ice cream manufacturing plant of Friendly’s Ice Cream. He was a member of Etters VFW Post #537, Shiloh American Legion Post #791, The Wago Club, Goldsboro Fireman’s Club, Starview Sportsmen’s Association, and Northern York County Game and Fish Association.
In addition to his wife of 51 years, Mr. Stoak is survived by a daughter, Dawn M Sanderson, and her husband Andrew, of Manchester; a grandson Zechariah; two sisters, Joann Snyder, of Dauphin, and twin sister, Gale Cameron, of Ocala, Florida. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Henry, Robert, and Ralph.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, with The Rev. Tom Gilman officiating. Viewings will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday and 9:00-10:00 AM Wednesday. Burial will be in Manchester Union Cemetery, with military rites presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
