Helen R. John, age 91, of Dover and Hamburg, died at 6:30 PM Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Bruce L. John.

Born June 29, 1934, in York County, a daughter of the late Roy Mitzel, Sr. and the late Dorothy (Horn) Mitzel, she retired from the former Rutters Restaurant.

Mrs. John is survived by two daughters, Pamela R. Reitzel, of Lemoyne, and Tina M. Brubaker, and her husband Steve, of Hamburg; two sons, Bryan K. John, of York, and Mark W. John, and his wife Jill, of York; six grandchildren, Matthew, Holly, Shane, Heather, Lance, and Shyla; ten great grandchildren, Eric, Ethan, Addison, Asher, Livia, Avalyn, Evangeline, Dakota, Brice, and Gracie; and an adopted sister, Patricia Schlapkohl, of Virginia. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jeffery Reitzel; a great grandson, Levi; two brothers, Roy Mitzel, Jr. and Nate Roberts; and four sisters, Betty Krysher, Dorothy Fahs, Norma Shoff, and Nancy Branham.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Saturday, October 11, 2025, at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, with Pastor William Schutt officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 AM. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Livestream of services will be available at www.facebook.com/KuhnerAssociates.
