Helen Louise Musser Obituary

Helen Lousie (Gerber) Musser, age 94, passed away Saturday June 7, 2025, at Country Meadows West Campus. She was the wife of the late Paul E Musser. They were married on July 27, 1953, and spent 65 years together working on the family farm in Manchester.

Born March 10, 1931, in Dover she was the daughter of the late George W. and Martha E. (Berkheimer) Gerber.

She was a dedicated farmer’s wife and caring mother in every sense of the word.  Musser’s Farm was busy year-round starting in the spring with feeding up to 2000 turkey chicks that would grow up and be ready for the Thanksgiving and Christmas table for individuals all over York County.  She took extra care of tending her Muscovy duck moms and babies that were also a staple for many holiday tables.   The summer also included time spent “tending the sales room” selling fresh from the field sweet corn and other vegetables that were grown for in the garden as well as canning those veggies and fruit for her family.

Helen was a member of St Paul UM Church for 70 years, the Chancel Choir, and United Methodist Women where she served as treasurer for many years.

Mrs. Musser is survived by three daughters, Barbara Trimmer, and her husband Al, of Dover, Carolyn Hall, and her husband Phil, of Sunset Beach NC, Dawn Krout, and her husband Joe, of Spring Grove; a son, Stanley Musser, of Manchester; a sister, Mary Ida Deardorff (Raymond); two brothers, George A. Gerber (Faye) and Gerald Gerber (Gloria), all of Dover; five grandchildren, Joshua, Leah, Amanda, Zachary, and Toni; a step grandson, Dustin; and seven great grandchildren.
