Herbert E. “Gene” Morgan, age 87, of West Manchester Township, York, died at 11:15 AM Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Wellspan York Hospital.

Born February 5, 1937, in York, the son of the late Lester Stump and the late Madeline (Morgan) Mason, he retired from York Hospital after many years where he worked as a charge nurse. He enjoyed gardening, nursing, crosswords, and game shows on TV.

Mr. Morgan is survived by a sister, Carolyn L. Hill, of East Berlin, and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Stoner.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, with The Rt. Rev’d Barry E. Yingling, CSSS officiating. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 AM. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
