Hope F. Spangler, age 85, of Springettsbury Township, York, died at 11:47 PM Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Autumn House East. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Spangler and companion of the late Martin Rawhouser.
Born December 7, 1938, in Phoebus, Virginia, a daughter of the late Raymond and Cathryn E. (Norris) Sweet, she worked for Keystone Weaving Mills and was a member of Advent Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Spangler is survived by two daughters, Stephanie K. Himes, and her husband Joseph, of York, and Kerri L. Jenkins, and her husband Jim, of Richmond, Virginia; a son, Mark D. Spangler, and his wife Leesa, of Ocean Pines, Maryland; four grandchildren, Rebecca Doutrich, Jason Spangler, Camron Jenkins, and Mackenzie Jenkins; and four great grandchildren, Emily and Kathryn Doutrich, and Marley and Julia Spangler. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Raymond G. Sweet; and a sister, Geraldine Slothower.
Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, are in charge of private funeral arrangements.
