Irene V. Hill

Irene V. Hill, age 83, formerly of York, died Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Mercy One Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Born September 28, 1938 in Charlottesville, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late William L. and Mattie E. (Dillard) Goodman.  She was a graduate of York Vo-Tech School of Nursing, and had worked as an LPN for York Hospital and Rest Haven Nursing Home.

Mrs. Hill is survived by two daughters, Cheryl D. Carter (Neal), and Laurita D. Carr (Brad), both of York; a son, Scott A. Dean (Sharon), of York; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Lina V. Penn, of Harrisburg, and Clarice Waters, of New Cumberland; and a brother, William B. Goodman, of Frederick, Maryland.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, January 28, 2022 at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, with Pastor Adrian Boxley and Pastor Danny Evans officiating.  Viewing will be 9-10:00 AM. Burial will be private.
