Irene K. Houston, age 77, of Dillsburg, died peacefully, surrounded by friends and family, at 12:18 PM Friday, March 28, 2025, at her residence.

Born November 21, 1947, in Carlisle, a daughter of the late Karl and Gladys (Knoll) Kuykendall, she worked on the family farm for many years and then at sewing factories and, most recently, as a CNA for Bell Socialization Services.

She is survived by a daughter, Melissa K. Little, of Dillsburg; two sons, Kirk A. Burdette, and his wife Melissa, of York, and Gary J. Burdette, of York; a granddaughter, Sophia A. York, of Philadelphia; a brother, Ronald  Kuykendall, of Dover; and four sisters, Margaret Myers, of York, Rose Snell, of Thomasville, Karen Luke, of York, and Vickie Snyder, of Dover. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Karl Kuykendall; and a sister, Janet Snell.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, April 3, 2025, at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 2150 Carlisle Road, York, with The Rev. Bonnie Whittier officiating. Viewing will be from 1:00-2:00 PM.
