J. Lorraine Beath

J. Lorraine Beath, age 103, of York City, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 11:22 AM on Monday, July 25, 2022, at Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehab. She was the wife of the late James G. Beath, Jr.

Born January 17, 1919, in York, the daughter of the late David and Imo (Lloyd) Bassler, she was a long time member of North Hills Bible Church and enjoyed reading the Bible, watching Jeopardy, eating at Hoss’s and family vacations at the Jersey shore. She also voted in every election since 1937.

Mrs. Beath is survived by her two children, James D. Beath, and Bonnie K. Spinelli, and her husband Chris, all of York; a grandson, Rodney Grim, and extended family, Cassidy, Candice and Dante Spinelli.

The family would like to thank the 4th floor nursing staff at Pleasant Acres for all that they have done for Mrs. Beath.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM, Monday, August 1, 2022 at The Semmel Chapel of Workinger Semmel Funeral Home and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, with Pastor David Moss officiating. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 AM. Private burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
