Jacqueline B. McCloskey, age 98, most recently of Dublin, Ohio, formerly of York, died Friday, September 11, 2026, at Friendship Village of Dublin under the care of National Church Residences Hospice. She was the wife of the late Donald E. McCloskey.

Born April 26, 1928, in York, she was a daughter of the late Curvin W. and Florence C. (Hodgson) Bankert. She was a 1946 graduate of William Penn High School, and a graduate of Temple University School of Oral Hygiene. She worked for Dr. William Stine, DDS for five years and for Dr. Mahlon Leiphart, DDS for twenty-five years. She was also a long-time member of Christ Lutheran Church in York.

Mrs. McCloskey is survived by her two sons Donald E. McCloskey II, his wife Danielle and grandson Liam of Powell, Ohio and David B. McCloskey, his wife Jill of West Yellowstone, Montana. She was also preceded in death by six sisters, Romaine Bushey, Carlyn Schlegel, H. Pauline Young, Florence Troop, Margaret Falkler, and Joanne Matthews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, with her Pastor, Sarah Hinlicky Wilson, officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 -2:30 PM. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
