James L. Adams

James L. “Jim” Adams, age 72, of Red Lion, died at 3:05 PM Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at his residence. He was the husband of Connie E. (Blouse) Adams.

Born January 25, 1951, in York, a son of the late Victor S. and Elizabeth S. (Spangler) Adams, he retired from York Bank and Trust and was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church Dallastown, and the York High Alumni Band. He operated the sound system at Fourth United Methodist Church for 50 years and was an avid woodworker.

In addition to his wife of 52 years, Mr. Adams is survived by a son, Michael J. Adams, and his wife Charissa, of Seattle, Washington; and a brother William Adams, of York. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Norma Almoney.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 PM Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Fourth United Methodist Church, 20 North Lehman Street, York, with The Rev. Norman “Skip” Spangler and The Rev. Jane Harrison officiating. Viewing will be from 11:30 AM-1:30 PM. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York is in charge of arrangements.
