James E. Hott, age 75, of Dover Township, Dover, died at 7:47 PM Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Wellspan York Hospital. He was the husband of Linda S. (Baldwin) Hott.

Born March 5, 1949, in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of the late James K. and Louisa C. (Baker) Hott, he worked as a craftsman and was a member of the York County Home Builders Association. He was a former member of Temple Baptist, and Pleasant Home Regular Baptist and was currently attending Church of the Open Door. He was a faithful servant to the Lord and a United States Army veteran serving during Vietnam.

In addition to his wife of 54 years, Mr. Hott is survived by two children, Tabitha A. Mirkovich, and her husband Jeff, of York, and James D. Hott, and his wife Lisa, of Red Lion; six grandchildren, Jordyn, Hannah, Kristen, Ava, Juliana, and Eric; and a sister, Dorothy A. Grassley, and her husband Michael. He was also preceded in death by four sisters, Betty J. Heath, Su Danniels, Patsy Hott, and Mary Lee Isennock.

Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Church of the Open Door, 4075 East Market Street, York, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jeremy Drake officiating. Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, are assisting with arrangements.
