James J. Taylor, Sr., age 80, of Bensalem and Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, while a resident at Homewood at Plum Creek, in Hanover. He was the husband of his beloved wife of 52 wonderful years who he loved dearly, Gloria J. (Bracken) Taylor, who preceded him in death in 2018, along with their labrador retriever, Shadow. They both loved family, animals, and favorite locations in Florida and Key West, where they will all be together again shortly.

He was also a long-term employee of Eby Company in Philadelphia, where he retired as a Tool Designer four years ago. He was a true Philadelphian, who loved the Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles, and the Jersey Shore. His contagious smile and cheerful demeanor will be missed by those that have come to know and love him.
Mr. Taylor is survived by a son, James J. Taylor, Jr., (Janet), a daughter, Suzanne L.; granddaughter, Renata L. Altimari; brother, Albert E. Taylor, Jr., (Gloria); sister-in-law, Felicia Lundrigan (Raymond); niece, Theresa Edelman (Mark); nephew, Keith Lundrigan (Laura); great nieces and nephews, Hendrix and Phoenix J. At his request, a private celebration will be held in his honor in Key West, Florida at a future date. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brooklinelabrescue.org, where his wife Gloria was a volunteer.
