Janet J. Corsnitz Obituary

Janet J. Corsnitz, age 92, of York Township, York, died at 6:43 PM Saturday, February 21, 2026, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Richard D. Corsnitz.


Born February 25, 1933, in Millersburg, she was a daughter of the late William and Fay (Fulkroad) Callender.  She was a graduate of Millersville State Teachers College, earning her degree in Elementary Education, and retired from Loganville Elementary School where she taught second grade for 31 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Pennsylvania State Education Association.


Mrs. Corsnitz is survived by two daughters, Debra J. Ludwig, of York, and Sherry A. Gordon, and her husband Dwayne, of New Cumberland; four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Miller, and a son-in-law, Steve Ludwig.


Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM, Monday, March 2, 2026, at Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene, 400 Stillmeadow Lane, York, with Mr. Robert Miller and Pastor Josh Kleinfeld officiating. Viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
