Janet Marie Greene, age 86, of York, died at 6:55 AM Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at York North Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was the wife of the late Vernon P. Greene, Sr.

Born March 29, 1939, in Morgantown, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Arthur and Hallie Tate, she retired after 20 years of employment with Pantry Pride and Food Fair.

Mrs. Greene is survived by a son, Randy L. Greene, and his wife Elizabeth, of York; eight grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Vernon P. Greene, Jr.

A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 200 E Padonia Rd, Timonium, Maryland, with Pastor Doug Mclean officiating.  Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
