Janet “Jan” Louise Muskett, age 81, of York, formerly of Manchester, died at 6:40 AM Saturday, February 7, 2026, of natural causes at Rest Haven York. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Muskett, Jr., whom she married in 1962 in Pleasantville, New Jersey.

Born May 23, 1944, in Media, Delaware County, a daughter of the late Doris Beam, she was raised by her mother and grandmother, the late “Nan” Bertha Hill Beam, wife of the late Webster Sharp Beam, and later moved to Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Mrs. Muskett is survived by two children, Dana L. Muskett, and her partner John Mundorf, and Robert “Bob” J. Muskett, III, and his wife Sandra “Sandy” H. Muskett; three grandchildren, Ryan H. Caplinger, and his wife Gillian B., Robert J. Muskett, VI, and his wife Kristina F., and Sarah E. Lopez, and her husband Marco; eight great grandchildren, Benton H. Caplinger, Kayleeann M. Muskett, Aubrey E. Muskett, Ellie M. Muskett, Kylee A. Lopez, Logan A. Lopez, and Grayson D. Lopez, plus a step great grandson, Jayden D. Lopez; her younger sister, Barbara M. Brady, of York; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Doris E. “Dorie” Muskett; and a brother, Howard William Thomson, of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

Jan enjoyed fibercrafts, especially sewing, knitting, and crocheting; spending holidays with family; collecting and making dolls with her own business, “Jan and Friends”; and listening to early rock and roll on the radio.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, February 16, 2026, at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, with The Rev. Bonnie Whittier officiating. Viewing will be from 1:00-2:00 PM. Burial will be in Manchester Union Cemetery.
