Janet E. Prowell, age 88, of York Township, York, died at 12:35 AM Monday, September 30, 2024, at York South Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was the wife of the late Reed A. Prowell, who died on August 16, 2024.

Born July 10, 1936, in York, a daughter of the late George and Jennie (Myers) Eber, she had worked for Dentsply International prior to the birth of their first child.

Mrs. Prowell is survived by a daughter, Melissa A. Prowell, of York; a son, Michael A. Prowell, and his spouse Ann Campbell, of York; two granddaughters, Madeline G. Prowell, and Olivia C. Prowell; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Richard Eber; and two sisters, Theresa Yinger, and Barbara Owen.
