Jerry L. Strickhouser, age 68, of Strinestown, died Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at his residence. He was the husband of Nadine R. (Krafft) Strickhouser.
Born January 19, 1953, in York, a son of the late Dale R. and Flora I. (Housseal) Strickhouser, and was retired from Electronic Data Systems in Newberrytown. He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, and the Ninth Ward Republican Club.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Strickhouser is survived by two daughters, JoAnn B. Mansberger (Robert), of York, and Deanna L. Strickhouser (Chris), Of York Haven; a son, Owen K. Pentz (Audrey), of Shiloh; seven grandchildren, Carrie Gladhill (David), Brian Woodring (Ashley), Chris Woodring, Joseph Pentz, Michael Pentz (Nicole), Emily Pentz, and Jesse Strickhouser; six great grandchildren, Reecia, Connor, Dakota, Lane, Rosa, and Liam; three brothers, Jay R. Strickhouser (Sally), Todd L. Strickhouser (Janet), and Chris R. Strickhouser (Deanna); and a sister, Patricia I. Mitzel. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Dale R. Strickhouser.
Jerry was a fan of the New York Yankees and Miami Dolphins. He enjoyed playing pool and playing cards with family and friends. He spent many years enjoying their cabin at Muddy Creek where he liked boating and fishing. His favorite thing was being a “Pap” to all his grandkids and great grandkids.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, July 10, 2021 at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 2150 Carlisle Road, York, with his Pastor, The Rev. Gary Zortman, officiating. Viewing will be 9-10:00 AM. Burial will be in Barrens Salem Union Cemetery, Dillsburg.
