Jerry W. Lawyer

Jerry W. Lawyer, 72 of York, PA, who was born November 15, 1948 in Hanover went to be with the Lord and fly with the angels on September 30, 2021.

A son of the late John D. Lawyer, Sr. and Mary M. (Altland) Lawyer, Jerry enjoyed fishing and annual camping trips with his friends. He loved coffee and often enjoyed his coffee while sitting on the porch watching passersby and the birds on the feeder. He was a member of the Bell Club and Community Services Group. He enjoyed the activities offered by both. He worked at Shadowfax for many years and later participated in their seniors program. Jerry had a smile that could melt your heart, and a laugh that was sure to make you laugh as well. He was loved by all who met him and he will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his sister, Shirley Groft of Hanover, sister-in-laws, Joan and Pat Lawyer as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John Jr., Raymond, Charles, Floyd and Roy, his sister Ruth, two nephews and his grandparents.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 PM Thursday, October 7, 2021 at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc. 2150 Carlisle Road, York, with The Rev. Bonnie Whittier officiating. Friends and family may attend a viewing from 12:30-1:30 PM. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Hanover.
