Jerry C. Weidner, age 88, of York Township died on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Celebration Villa of York. He was the husband of the late Patricia A. (Shearer) Weidner for 64 years.
Born on December 14, 1937, in Dallastown, he was the only child of the late Charles C. and Jeanne E. (Henry) Weidner. He graduated from Dallastown High School in 1955 where he was on the varsity football and baseball teams. He was an avid golfer, beginning at Briarwood Golf Course and for many years at the County Club of York. He cherished his time at his camp in Potter County.
He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, in Jacobus, and was a former member of the Sertoma Club of York and had served as a Scout Master. He retired from Kinsley Construction, finishing his construction career as a Vice President/Head Estimator. Jerry thoroughly enjoyed his retirement with a smile on his face, reminding anyone who asked- “Beats Work!”

Shearer of Dallastown, PA. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Dr. Steven K. Groff and his nephew’s wife, Peg Shearer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
