Jillayne C. Day

Jillayne C. Day, age 60, of Springettsbury Township, York, died at 4:30 PM Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Temple University Hospital, in Philadelphia. She was the fiancé of Alfonso C. Kurnik.

Born July 23, 1965, in Charles Town, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charles R. Martin and his wife, the late Shelby Gene (Poole) Martin, and the late Shirley Ann (Peck) Wallace, and her husband, the late Richard D. Wallace. As a Native American Indian, she was active with the Potawatomi Indian Tribe and was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs.

In addition to her fiancé, she is survived by four sons, Jered W. Fitzkee, and his wife Paige, of York, Jacob W. Fitzkee, of Dover, George R. Day, Jr., of York, and Alfonso L. Kurnik, of York; two grandchildren Lynniah and Brynn; and three brothers, Richard L. Martin, Alan Elder, and Curt Elder.

Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of private arrangements.
