JoAnn Warfel, age 87, of York, died at 3:02 PM Friday, December 27, 2024, at Penn State Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Hummelstown.  She was the wife of the late Robert C. Warfel, and former wife of the late Paul A Beaverson, Jr.

Born February 23, 1937, in York, a daughter of the late Stewart and Dora (Krout) Snyder, she had worked as a seamstress at South Pine Nightwear.  She was a member of Hanover Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 1406 Auxiliary, Hanover Moose Lodge 227, Chapter 923, Vigilant Social Club, West York VFW Post 8951 Ladies Auxiliary, and Pleasureville American Legion Post 799 Auxliliary.

Mrs. Warfel is survived by three daughters, Deborah A. Stough, of Lebanon, Linda A. Myers, and her companion, Jeff of York, and Teresa A Chin, of Concord, California; a son, Gary A Beaverson, of Daytona, Florida; nine grandchildren, Marcy, and her wife Karie, Travis, and his wife Karinna, Bonnie, Ryan, Casey, Bryan, and his wife Becky, Tricia, Rachel, Conrad, and Austin ; twelve great grandchildren, Mariah, Makenna, Aidan, Calvin, Camden, Isabella, Austin, Autumn, Audree, Abby, Maggie, Morgan and Addison; one great great granddaughter, Adelina; and a sister, Josephine Sprenkle, of York.  She was also preceded in death by two sons, Barry Beaverson, and Bradley Beaverson; two brothers, Jerry Arnold, and Sydney Snyder; three sisters, Ereviene Hedrick, Margaret Russell, and Patricia Einsig; and a great granddaughter, Marissa Stough.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York.  Viewing will be 9-9:45 AM, with a VFW Auxiliary service at 9:45 AM.  Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
