Joanne E. Eaton

Joanne E. Eaton, age 86, of Springettsbury Township, York, died at 7:03 PM Thursday, March 6, 2024, at Kingston Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Eaton.

Born January 31, 1938, in Wellsboro, the daughter of the late Otto D. Bacon, Sr. and the late Myrtle L. (Finch) Bacon, she retired from Graham Recycling and was a member of White Rose VFW Post 556 and Pleasureville American Legion # 799. She was also a United States Air Force Veteran.

Mrs. Eaton is survived by three grandchildren, Paris Cary, Derek King, and Bryce King; and a great granddaughter, Ava King. She was also preceded in death by two children, Debbie J. King, and Richard O. Cary; and five brothers, Robert, Richard, Otto, Andrew, and Theodore Bacon.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, with The Rev. Bonnie Whittier officiating. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 AM. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
