John J. Andrews, Jr., age 90, of West Manchester Township, York, died at 7:20 PM Thursday, September 19, 2024, at UPMC Memorial. He was the husband of Romaine E. (Irwin) Andrews.

Born December 23, 1933, in Durham, North Carolina, he was the son of John J. and Mary (Brown) Andrews.  After graduating from High School, he served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War, serving in active duty.  He was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal.  He retired from Flinchbaugh Engineering and was a member of West York VFW.

In addition to his wife of 47 years, Mr. Andrews is survived by three sons, Steven J. Andrews, and his wife Trudy, of York, Jeffrey Scott Andrews, and his wife Deborah, of Dahlonega, Georgia, and Bradley L. Andrews, and his wife Sharon, of Hilton Head, South Carolina; four stepsons, Kelly E. Garrett, and his wife Betsy, of Spring Grove, John E. Garrett, and his wife Deborah, of Spring Grove, Donald E. Garrett, and his wife Beth, of York, and David E. Garrett, and his wife Lisa, of York; 12 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one sister Delores Dattisman, of York.  He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter; and a sister, Martha Ness.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 PM Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 2150 Carlisle Road, York.  Viewing will be 12:30-1:30. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, with Military Rites presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
