John H. Sharrer, Sr., age 89, of Spring Grove, died Sunday, October 26, 2025, at York North Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was the husband of the late Jeanette E. (Smith) Sharrer.

Born August 2, 1936, in York, he was a son of the late Charles and Marie (Williams) Sharrer. He graduated from William Penn High School in 1955. He served in the Army and worked as a material handler for Cole Steel.

Mr. Sharrer is survived by his son, John M. Sharrer, of York; a daughter, Donnalee Einsig, and her husband, James, of Spring Grove; and a granddaughter McKenna A. Sharrer. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Wire; and a brother, Robert Sharrer.
