Joyce A. Dietz Obituary

Joyce A. Dietz, 88, formerly of Manchester, entered her heavenly home at 6:15 PM Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at United Zion Retirement Community in Lititz. She was the loving wife of the late Tommy L. Dietz.  


Born in York on July 23, 1937, she was the only child of the late Robert and Mary (Hartman) Nickle. She retired from Northeastern School District where she worked as a secretary at both Manchester and Mount Wolf Elementary Schools and was a member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church in Manchester. She was a kind hearted and loving person who enjoyed gardening, knitting, and doing for others. She found special joy in spending time with her family.      


Mrs. Dietz is survived by two daughters: Voni J. Starner of Exton and Teri S. Sipe of Brownstown, and three grandchildren: Ian Starner (Brianne Zeemer), Hannah Sipe (Chris Bergeron), and Rebekah McGonigle (Josh). She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Eric Sipe.


Services will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 2 PM at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester with The Rev. Dr. Eddie D.D. Miller officiating. Friends will be received between 1 and 2 PM. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the York Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 1968, York, PA 17405 or to the York Cancer Center Patient Help Fund, 2500 South George Street, York, PA 17403.
