Joyce E. Kohr

Joyce E. Kohr, age 90, of Dover Township, Dover, died at 3:58 AM Friday, April 28, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was the wife of Ray D. Kohr.

Born February 19, 1933, in York, the daughter of the late Lynn A. and Janet E. (Hinkle) Kohler, she was a 1951 graduate of York High and was a receptionist for Dr. Grove and Dr. Eisenhower early in her career. She later worked for the Record Club of America and Dentsply.

In addition to her husband of 64 years, Mrs. Kohr is survived by her five children, Dean E. Kohr, and his wife Kathy, of Manchester, Dwayne D. Kohr, and his wife Kate, of Carlisle, Deirdre E. Kohr, and her companion Brian Karsnitz, of York, Douglas R. Kohr, and his wife Debra, of Manchester, and Dana L. Schmuck and her husband Thomas, of Lancaster; nine grandchildren, Kaitlyn Kohr, Aaron Morningstar (Kayla), Zachary Kohr, Sean Schmuck, Morgan Kohr, Allison Morningstar (Christian), Daphne Schmuck, Beau Kirchner (Tisha), and Joseph Leo (Anna); two great grandchildren, Zander Kirchner and Sienna Leo.

Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York are in charge of private funeral arrangements.
