Juanita M. Carney

Juanita M. Carney, age 82, of Spring Garden Township, York, formerly of Dover, Delaware, died at 9:44 AM Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Wellspan York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard L. Carney.

Born June 13, 1940, in Fort Collins, Colorado, she was one of ten children of the late David and Mary (Vigil) Salaz.  She was retired from Dover Delaware School District, and had also worked as a cake decorator at Fletcher’s Bakery in Dover.   

Mrs. Carney is survived by a daughter, Donna M. Stradling, and her husband Robert, of York; a son, John L. Garcia, of Dover; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a sister, Veronica Valdez, of Colorado. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Karchner.
