Julia (Stouch) Lloyd of York, PA passed away on September 20, 2022, at Dallastown Nursing Center. She lived a long-blessed life at 103 years old.
Born June 9, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Myra (Strayer) Stouch. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Lloyd, who passed on July 1, 2006. They were married on June 27, 1948. Also, her beloved son, David T. Lloyd, who passed away November 5, 1992, and two sisters, Vivian Altland and Josephine Ziegler.
Mrs. Lloyd is survived by her daughter, Marti Lloyd, of York, PA; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren (who she loved and adored) as follows: Ryan Lloyd, and wife Stephanie, and their four children, Madison, Camden, Violet and Vance, of York;, Lauren Lloyd, and her husband Hudson Wise, and their two children, Juniper and Hudson V. of Huntington Beach, California; three nephews, Samuel Altland, Brad Ziegler, and Dan Ziegler.
She graduated in 1937 from William Penn Senior High School and worked as a secretary at American Chain and Cable Company, from where she retired. She was a life long member of Saint Matthew Lutheran Church (including Senior Church Choir, Bethany Bible Group, Volunteer Meals on Wheels, and Half Century Fellowship).
She also enjoyed being a Teacher’s Aide at Grantley Elementary School (with her beehive hairdo and whistle around her neck) and Lunch Cashier at Indian Rock Elementary School.
