Jutta Stallman Obituary

Jutta Stallman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024, in York, Pennsylvania.

Born on April 19, 1965, in Kaiserslautern, Germany, Jutta was raised in the nearby town of Otterbach. Her life was marked by resilience, love, and a passion for creativity and adventure.

In 1991, Jutta married the love of her life, Alexander "Sandy" Stallman, whom she met while he was stationed at Daenner Kaserne in Kaiserslautern. The couple moved to York in 1992, where they built a life filled with laughter and love.

Jutta is survived by her devoted husband Sandy, her cherished children Alison and her husband, Brandon, and Christian and his fiancee, Emily, and her adored grandchildren Lukas and Brooks. She is also survived by her brother Martin Fahrbach, her aunt Helga Reiher, and her cousins Stefan and Christina Reiher. She is also survived by George “Ben” Stallman, Vince Dougherty & Anne Stallman Dougherty and John Madden and Betsy Madden.  Jutta was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Waltraud Farbach. 

A 21-year survivor of pancreatic cancer, Jutta was a passionate advocate for research funding, actively participating in the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and lobbying in Washington, D.C. Her indomitable spirit inspired many.

Jutta's artistic talents were boundless, excelling in felting, knitting, cross-stitching, carving, painting, and photography. Her work was recognized in the Capture York book in 2009. She was an active member of several clubs, including the Lancaster Liederkranz, Christian Motorcycle Association, York Art Association, York County Camera Club, and York Woodcarvers.

Jutta loved the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, kayaking, hiking, and motorcycle riding. She cherished time spent at the family camp in Pierce Pond, Maine, and on ocean cruises.

In her professional life, Jutta served as a teacher's aide at York Suburban Middle School and a bus driver for Durham Bus Company. Her warmth and dedication touched many lives.

Funeral services at scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Living Word Community Church, 2530 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion.  A reception with the family will immediately follow.  Private burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.  Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at pancan.org. Jutta's legacy of love, strength, and creativity will forever be remembered.
