Kathleen “Kay” L. Heilman, age 74, of Red Lion, passed away at 8:34 AM June 14, 2021 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Ronald B. Heilman to whom she was married to for 54 years.
Born March 1, 1947 in York, she was the only child of the late Miriam E. (Mann) and Ralph M. Kerchner. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in York, Order of the Eastern Star, and the American Legion Auxiliary in Red Lion.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Heilman is survived by two sons, Steven R. Heilman, of York and Brian K. Heilman, and his partner Kevin G. Bonzo, of York. She was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Denise Heilman.
Kay worked many different places as an assembler and retired from Anvil International. She fought for 7 years after her diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma. Her desire in life was to do for others. She loved to do cross stitch and crafts and then share those gifts with others.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 19, 2021, viewing will be 9:30-11:00 AM at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George St., York, with her Pastor, The Rev. Dr. Alan J. Watt officiating. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
