Kenneth Eugene Gotwalt

Kenneth Eugene Gotwalt, age 70, of Springettsbury Township, York, died at 1:24 AM Sunday, August 27, 2023, at his residence. He was the husband of Kathy A. (Brocato) Gotwalt.

Born September 2, 1952, in Columbia, a son of the late Austin G. and Doris (Bard) Gotwalt, Jr., he worked in supermarket advertising, marketing, and sales, serving more than 100 stores in seven states, and was employed at Jay’s supermarkets for 28 years, retiring as Vice President of Operations. He was a member of Victory Athletic Association, Vigilant Athletic Association, Hawk Gunning Club, and Rooser Club.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Gotwalt is survived by five daughters, April Campbell (John), of Eva, Alabama, Lori Gotwalt, of Kentucky, Dana Beck (Brad), of Brogue, Kerry Haynes (Bob), of Felton, and Kristin Coomes (Tim), of Stewartstown; seventeen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a brother, Keith L. Gotwalt (Crystal), and a niece, sweet Jen, of Little River, South Carolina. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Barry and Ricky Gotwalt; and a sister, Darlene Rice.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York. Visitations will be 4:00-6:00 PM Friday and 9:00-10:00 AM Saturday. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
