Larry R. Good, 86, passed into Life Eternal on Monday, January 17, 2022 at the York Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara A. (Cassel) Good with whom he shared over 57 years of marriage.
He was born July 27, 1935 in West York to the late Ella K. Good. Larry graduated from Manchester High School in 1954. He then proudly served his country for 6 years in the U.S. Navy. Following discharge, he was employed at various automobile dealerships prior to working and retiring from P.P.L. Brunner Island.
A lifelong Phillies fan, he was fortunate to spend many winters in FL, with his wife, to experience Spring Training. Front row seats in the stadium – no less! In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Larry’s love of fishing continued, especially yearly trips to Sand Beach Lodge in Ontario, Canada where lasting friendships were formed. He was a member of Zeredatha White Rose Lodge No. 451, Free and Accepted Masons; Tall Cedars of Lebanon, York Forest No. 30; Starview Sportsmen Association; and the Hawk Gunning Club.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, with Ron Hamme, a dear friend who is currently serving as a missionary in the Bahamas, officiating. He has graciously returned to PA to honor Larry’s request. Many, many thanks Ron! Viewing will be 10-10:45 AM, with Masonic Rites beginning at 10:45 AM. Burial will follow at Manchester Lutheran Cemetery with military honors presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Wearing a mask is at your discretion.
