Lee Fishel Obituary

Lee V. Fishel, age 90, of Goldsboro, passed away 8:00 PM Thursday, July 8, 2021 at his residence. He was the husband of Dorothy E. (Zeigler) Fishel.

Born August 17, 1930 in Wormleysburg, he was a son to the late George and Mary (Noll) Fishel.  A 1950 graduate of William Penn High School, he then served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.  He worked for Gardner Denver for 25 years and at Tech Design in New Cumberland for 10 years. He also served as Borough Manager of Goldsboro for 48 years.  He was a member of Goldsboro Fire Company, the Firemen’s Club, Hawk Gunning Club, and James A. Danner VFW Post 537.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Fishel is survived by a daughter, Kathy D. Fishel and her husband, William Rowan, of Phoenixville; two sons, Richard L. Fishel and his wife Patricia, of Goldsboro, and Douglas L. Fishel, of Goldsboro; two grandchildren, Sean Fishel and Melissa Dunchock, and her husband Tim; and two great grandchildren, Georgianna Fishel and Bryce Dunchock. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Florence Baker and Betty Yarlett; and three brothers, Paul, Clarence, and George Fishel.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, July 15, 2021 at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, with The Rev. Gary Zortman, officiating. Viewings will be 5-7:00 PM Wednesday and 9-10:00 AM Thursday. Burial will be in Paddletown Cemetery, Newberrytown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 850 Pleasant Grove Rd, York Haven, PA 17370; or American Heart Association {York Division}, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
