Lester K. Loucks, III, age 82, of Penn Township, Hanover, died at 2:50 PM Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover. He was the husband of Doris J. (Hykes) Loucks.
Born October 2, 1942, in York, he was a son of the late L. Kenneth Loucks, Jr. and the late Charlotte (Tyson) Loucks. A 1960 graduate of Central York High School ,and a 1962 graduate of Penn State, he was retired as owner/operator of Loucks, Inc construction company. He was a member of Mount Zion United Church of Christ, in York, Restore York, Opportunity International, where he had served on the Board of Governors. He had served on the Capital Campaign of Penn Central Conference of the United Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife of 65 years, Mr. Loucks is survived by a daughter, Debra A. Resh, and her husband Tracy, of York; a son, David Loucks, and his wife Kimberly, of Manheim; five grandchildren, Louis and Mitchell Loucks, Zachary Hagee, and Jay and Cole Covert; seven great grandchildren; and a brother, Ronald Loucks, of York. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Covert; and a sister, Susan Goshorn.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Mount Zion United Church of Christ, 1054 Ridgewood Road, York, with The Rev. Amy Northridge officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 AM.
