Linda Sue Glassmyer, age 79 and born August 4, 1945 in York, PA, died peacefully at 5:40 PM Wednesday, October 23, 2024.

The daughter of the late William H. and Charlotte (Sichelstiel) Glassmyer, Linda was a 1963 graduate of William Penn High School and attended York Junior College.  She retired in 2008 as the Facilities Coordinator for Harley Davidson Motor Company after 43 years of employment.  She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she served on the Church Council, numerous committees, and as a Sunday school teacher. She was also a 40-year member of the former Pilot Club of York, a women’s service group. She held all club offices, including a district office and district appointments.

She enjoyed traveling throughout Europe, the UK, Mediterranean, Greek Isles, New Zealand, Canada, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands and over half of the United States.

She is survived by her son Adam D. Glassmyer, his wife Anne, of Cos Cob, Connecticut, grandson Logan and granddaughter Ainsley (her greatest joys in life); two nephews, Scott and Timothy Glassmyer; and two nieces, Kathryn Cenci and Sherri Dubs.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Monday, November 4, 2024 at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church, 25 West Springettsbury Avenue, York, with her Pastor, The Rev. Stanley Reep, officiating.  Viewing will be 9:30-10:30 AM.  A reception with the family will immediately follow the funeral service.  Burial in Mount Rose Cemetery will be held at 1:30 PM.
