Linda Lou Spahr

Linda Lou Spahr, age 75, of Dover Township, Dover, died at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 12, 2023, at her residence. She was the wife of Dale L. Spahr.

Born November 5, 1947, in York, a daughter of the late Clarence “Dan” and Henrietta (Hinkle) Wetzel, she was employed by Weis Markets for 14 years.

In addition to her husband of 58 years, Mrs. Spahr is survived by two daughters, Denise L. Bartram, of Hanover, and Diana L. Myers, and her husband Glenn, of Wirtz, Virginia; three grandchildren, Mark Buckingham, Melinda Patton, and Tessa Strausbaugh; six great grandchildren, Miley, Piper, Emma, Corbin, Arabella, and Willow; two sisters, Henrietta “Barb” Ellis, and Patricia Malehorn; and a brother, Clarence “Dee” Wetzel. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Backle.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, August 17, 2023, at William E. Little Homes, Inc., 2150 Carlisle Road, York, with The Rev. Bonnie Whittier officiating. Viewings will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday and 9:00-10:00 AM Thursday. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
