Lois E. Moody Obituary

Lois E. Moody, age 80, of Goldsboro, died at 11:39 PM Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. She was the wife of Samuel B. Moody.


Born July 11, 1945, in Strinestown, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow W. “Woody” and Genevieve M. (Lowery) Miller.  She worked for High Hill Nursery in Etters for 25 years, Glen Miller Meats, in Lemoyne, for 30 years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.


In addition to her husband of 64 years, Mrs. Moody is survived by three sons, Mark A. Moody, of York, and his children, Arynne (Freddie) Rahmer, Kyle, Alyssa, Mackenzie (Justin) Gilday, Sienna, and Ashlyn; Steven B. Moody, his wife Karen, of York Haven, and their children, Sarah (Eric) Moyer, Samantha (Daniel) Mullen, Michael (Tonya), Zackary, and Sabrina; and Michael W. Moody, his wife Bonnie, of New Cumberland, and their children, Allison and Matthew; eight great grandchildren; and two brothers, Paul May, Jr., and Jeffrey May. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Naftzger; and four brothers, Larry, Robert, Ralph, and George Poe.


Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, with her Pastor, The Rev. Stephen Yambor, officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 AM. Burial will be in Paddletown Cemetery, Newberrytown.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Homeland Center, 1901 North 5th Street, Harrisburg, PA 17102.
