Louis O. Underwood, age 93, of York Township, York, died at 11:26 AM Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Celebration Villa. He was the husband of the late Nancy A. “Nan” (Crocker) Underwood.

Born February 8, 1932, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, he was a son of the late Lester C. and Greek M. (Overby) Underwood. He first served in the US Air Force during the Korean War earning the National Defense Service Medal. He then earned his Bachelor’s Degree, and Master’s Degree in Pharmacy, from Ohio State University. He was retired from Giant Store Pharmacies.

Mr. Underwood is survived by a son, Matt C. Underwood, and his wife Dawna, of York; two grandchildren, Matthew Mansfield, and Christopher Underwood; and a sister, Sandy Sprouse. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Janet Moore, and Jean; and a brother, Bobby “Mouse” Underwood.

A memorial reception will be held at a later date. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
