Louise C. Brown, age 81, of Springettsbury Township, York, passed away peacefully at 12:31 PM Thursday, April 2, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Randall G. Brown.

Born January 13, 1945, in York, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Viola (Hoffmaster) Friese. She retired from Osram Sylvania and loved gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Brown is survived by two daughters, Teresa Hoover and her companion, Brad Berger, of York, and Jeannie Brown, and her husband Adam Weaver, of York; five grandchildren, Stacie Cassell, Christopher Appenzeller, Nicky Euculano, Matthew Hoover, and Kyle Weaver; nine great grandchildren, Hailey, Ian, Delanie, Dani Lynn, Carter, Carson, Ava, Dylan, and Caio; a great great granddaughter, Iris; two sisters, Judy Barnett and Deborah Wynegar; two brothers, Donald Friese and Philip Friese; and many nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by a daughter Sherry Appenzeller; six sisters, Charlotte Aughenbaugh, Nancy Bates, Dorothy Taughinbaugh, Beverly Beck, Bonnie Nace, and Theodora Geiger; and two brothers, Leroy Friese and Ricky Friese.

Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, is in charge of private funeral arrangements. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
