Louise F. Stremmel, age 93, of Hartsville, South Carolina, formerly of York, died at 11:34 AM Friday, June 28, 2024, at Morrell Nursing Center in Hartsville. She was the wife of the late Philip J. Stremmel.
Born April 4, 1931, in York, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Kibler) Eichelberger. A 1949 graduate of William Penn High School, she had worked as a secretary for Yorktowne Papermill for 42 years. She was a member of York First Church of the Brethren, and enjoyed going to the shore with family and friends, and playing cards and bingo with friends.
Mrs. Stremmel is survived by a daughter Beth Anne Repko, and her husband Mark, of Hartsville; three grandchildren, Keith A. Russell, and his wife Leah, Kristen L. Zwolak, and her husband Brian, and Aaron P. Repko, and his wife Kanchana; seven great grandchildren, Micah, Ethan, Heather, Reese, Austin, Carleigh, and Weston. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Bessie Herman, and Ethel Miller; and four brothers, Stuart, Luther, Howard, and Henry Eichelberger.
A graveside is scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, July 8, 2024, at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Road, York. Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
