Marc L. Shutz, age 72, of Dallastown, entered into rest on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at his residence. He was the husband of Kallie A. (Snell) Shutz.
Born February 24, 1950 in San Francisco, the son of the late Harold Shutz, and the late Dorothy (Crumbling) Kline, he retired as the owner of the former SLP Roofing in Dallastown. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Dallastown, and the Hawk Gunning Club, He was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan (with a strong hatred of the Pittsburgh Steelers) and NASCAR #3 fan. He was a lover of music, and played drums for most of his life.
In addition to his wife of 39 years, Mr. Shutz is survived by a daughter, Kasandra G. Mentzer, and her husband Rob, of Dallastown; two sons, Adam D. Shutz, and his wife Brittany, of Wrightsville, and Jeffrey A. Shutz, and his wife Ashley, of Tampa, Florida; four grandchildren, Landon Covert, Iann, Zachary, and Natalie Shutz; a sister, Carol A. Kline, of York; his mother-in-law, Sandy Palmieri, of Dallastown; and brothers-in-law, Steve Snell, of Gettysburg, and Tim Snell, of Red Lion.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, with Pastor Preston Chronister officiating. Viewings will be 5-7:00 PM Tuesday, and 1-2:00 PM Wednesday. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
The family requests that you wear your Ravens gear or purple and black. As Dad always said, “We are going to have a pretty good team this year.”
