Margaret J. Hoover

Margaret J. Hoover, age 93, of York, died at 5:14 PM on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Manor Care Health Services North. She was the wife of the late Lloyd C. Hoover.

Born June 30, 1927, in West Virginia, she was one of five children of the late Rev. Howard and Lucy (Psalms) Hardt. She had worked for Danskin, Gault Controls, Alexander’s, Fisher’s, and Moser’s Restaurants, as well as the Days Inn.   She also loved working at her daughter’s craft store, Heartfelt Treasures, at Morningstar Marketplace.

Mrs. Hoover is survived by a daughter, Cindy S. Hoover, and her companion Robert C. Knier, of York; and a son, Lloyd Eugene Hoover, of York. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gwenda A. Hoover.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM, Friday June 11, 2021, at The Semmel Chapel of Workinger Semmel Funeral Home and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, with The Rev. Donald Belch officiating. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 AM. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
