Marguerite "Peggy" Brillhart

Marguerite “Peggy” Spangler Brillhart, 73, of York, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023, at Lancaster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Lee Brillhart, on September 7, 2012.

Born August 20, 1950, in York, she was a daughter of the late Roland Spangler and Bobbie Spangler. Peggy graduated from York Suburban High School in 1968 and then attended Penn State University, University Park.

Peggy was a Real Estate Broker for many years running Eisenhart Real Estate with her husband, Ron. She served as President of the Realtors Association of York and Adams Counties in 1991 while also teaching classes for aspiring realtors. She was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to old R&B music and watching baseball. Peggy loved going to the Jersey beaches and spending time with family. Most notably, she was a loving and caring wife and mother who would always go out of her way to make her family happy.

Surviving are three sons, Stephen A. Brillhart, and his wife Lisa A., of Lancaster, Peter J. Brillhart, and his wife Heidi B., of Ivyland, and Matt L. Brillhart, of York; six grandchildren, Brock, Paige, Peyton, Benjamin, Sydney, and Carter; three siblings, Debb Wire, of Reading, John Spangler, and Kate Gotwald, both of York; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Caune.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, with The Rev. Chris Blackford officiating.
