Marsha Wade Mann, 90, died peacefully the morning of June 12, 2026, in York, PA. She was the wife of Dennis L. Mann with whom she shared 67 years of marriage.

Born Marsha Eileen Wade January 8, 1936, in Blanchester, Ohio to Lyman Brown Wade and Louella Meek Wade. Marsha was greatly influenced by the care and moral foundation of her beloved grandmother. Her family moved to San Diego in 1947.

She put herself through school to achieve her dream of becoming an educator; graduating in 1957 from San Diego State College, now University, with a B.A. in Elementary Education. For 31 years she shared her skills and love of learning with her students. In 1986 Marsha earned her master’s degree from Marywood College, now University, while working full-time. The majority of her teaching career was in Montgomery County, Rockville, MD.

Marsha bravely relocated from California to Maryland in 1958 for her soon-to-be husband’s career. Her hobbies included antiquing and auctions, quilting, reading, and traveling. She camped with her family throughout the United States in the 1960s. She also baked award winning pecan pies. During her retirement, Marsha enjoyed attending plays and band concerts, taking Senior classes from OLLI at Penn State York to learn about her adopted city of York and staying current on the many topics offered.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Mann is survived by three sons, Terry, and his wife Karen, of Michigan, Steven, of Maryland, and Scott Mann, MD, and his wife Bonnie DeBold, of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Katherine, Erin (Josh), Kyle (Elena), and Sean (Ashley); two sisters, Peggy Benn, and her husband Gary, and Jane Norman, and her husband Dean, both of California; and a sister-in-law, Janet Robinson, and her husband Barrett, of Indiana.

The family wish to thank the staff at Celebration Villa, Bayada Hospice, and Visiting Angels, for the care and attention given to Marsha during her time with them.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a future date. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of private arrangements.
