Marshella P. "Dolly" Swavely

Marshella P. “Dolly” Swavely, age 89,of Etters, died at 12:10 PM Monday, May 23, 2022 at Autumn House East in York.  She was the wife of the late Edwin T. Swavely.

Born January 14, 1933 in Bald Hill, Newberry Township, she was the daughter of the late Raymond W. and Edith L. (Platts) Smee.  She attended Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, and was a member of Red Land Senior Center and Etters VFW Women’s Auxiliary.

Mrs. Swavely is survived by three daughters, Debora C. Elliott, and her husband Bill, of York Haven, Vickie L. Strayer, and her husband Steve, of Dover, and Nancy K. Jones, and her husband Ernest, of York Haven; eight grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard H. Smee, of Dover, and Cloyd R. Smee, of Loganville.  She was also preceded in death by a son, Mark E. Swavely.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, June 3, 2022 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 850 Pleasant Grove Road, York Haven, with The Rev. Gary Zortman officiating.  Visitation will be 10-11:00 AM.  Burial will be in Tri County Memorial Gardens.
