Martha E. Stover, age 84, of Manchester Township, York, died at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at UPMC Memorial. She was the wife of the late William F. Stover.
Born March 1, 1941, in Johnstown, a daughter of the late George Gaynor and Helen Elizabeth (Hamer) Palmer, she worked as a rehabilitation technician for Healthsouth Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Stover is survived by a son, John R. Ankeny, of Indianapolis, Indiana; two daughters, Kristen Balko, of York, and Joanne Grove, and her husband James, of Tucson, Arizona; five grandchildren, Adam Grove (Angie), Laura Lee (Marc), Joshua Balko, Kiera Balko, and Holden Ankeny; two great grandchildren, Cade and Natalie Lee; and a sister, Virginia E. Mock, of Cleveland, Ohio.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday April 14, 2025, at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, with The Rev. Bonnie Whittier officiating. Viewing will be from 1:00-2:00 PM. Private burial will be in Salem Union Cemetery, Jacobus.
