Mary L. Heindel, age 94, of Spring Garden Township, York, died at 3:15 PM Thursday, February 13, 2025, at York View Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was the wife of the late Sterling E. Heindel.
Born August 21, 1930, in York County, a daughter of the late Leonard and Hilda (Shetter) Miller, she worked for Danskin, AMF, and Harley Davidson Motor Company.
Mrs. Heindel is survived by two daughters, Bonita A. Lease, of York, and Teena M. Wolf, and her husband Michael, of York; nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Joyce Gladfelter, of York. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Sterling E. Heindel, Jr., and Jeffry L. Heindel; two sisters, Lucille and Alice; and a brother, Raymond Miller.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, with The Rev. Bonnie Whittier officiating. Viewing will be from 1:00-2:00 PM. Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery in Lower Windsor Township.
