Mary B. Zink

Mary B. Zink, age 94, of York, died at 9:15 AM Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Yorkview Nursing and Rehabilitation.  She was the wife of the late James Hamberger, Sr., and the late George Zink

Born March 10, 1929, a daughter of the late Arthur T. and Salinda (Stocker) Murphy, she had worked at Nabisco Bakery as a packer for 27 years, and Campbell Chain as an assembler for 13 years.

She loved to play BINGO and visit Atlantic City Casinos.  She also enjoyed Ocean City, Maryland, and Myrtle Beach with her family.  She was a member of the former Saint Mark’s Lutheran Church.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Arlene Perkins, and her husband James, and Debra Zink; two sons, James Hamberger, Jr., and his wife Blanche, and Randy Zink; three granddaughters; three grandsons; six great grandchildren; and a sister, Hattie Redding.  She was also preceded in death by a son, Wayne Hamberger; and two brothers, Arthur T. Murphy, Jr., and Andrew Murphy.
