Mary Alice Brewster

Mary Alice Brewster, age 92, of York Township, York, died at 6:10 PM Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Wellspan York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Glen R. Brewster.

Born March 8, 1932, in Wytheville, Virginia, a daughter of the late Sherman H. and Annie Laurie (Martin) Williams, she retired from Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation and was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Brewster is survived by a son, Loren G. Brewster; and a daughter, Nancy L. Brewster, both of York. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Annie Laurie “Patsy” Kulp, Rebecca Stultz, and Nancy Alley; and two brothers, Sherman “Buddy” Williams, and Robert Williams.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Providence Presbyterian Church, 1215 Church Road, York, with Pastor Vince Wood officiating. Visitation will immediately follow the service.  Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday, April 20, 2024 at West End Cemetery, Wytheville, Virginia. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
