Michael R. Landis Obituary

Michael R. Landis, Sr., age 77, of Manchester Township, York, died at 7:10 PM Monday, September 16, 2024, at his residence.  He was the husband of the late Patricia A. (Rife) Landis.

Born on January 17, 1947, in York, a son of the late Moritz and Ruth E. (Landis) Yohe, he retired from Caterpillar, Inc.  He also served in the US Navy and was a member of Shiloh American Legion, Vigilant Social Club, Rooster Club, 13th Ward Political Club, and the Viking Athletic Association, and was a life member of Alert Fire Company.

Mr. Landis is survived by two daughters, Ruthann M. Landis and Lori A. Beard; a son, Michael R. Landis, Jr.; two sisters, Gloria Fisher, and Deborah Ziegler; and a brother, Moritz Yohe, Jr. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Heather Leese.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, September 27, 2024, at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, with Chaplain Donald Alspaugh officiating.  Viewing will be 9-10:00 AM.  Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery with flag presentation by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
